After the Muletrain Express Saturday afternoon, it was time to get downtown in time for the lighted Christmas parade organized by the Muleshoe Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture. It was cold, but a good crowd bundled up for the annual affair. Well, some took refuge in the Oneita Wagnon Senior Center where chairs had been set up inside by the front windows for viewing. The Old Fashioned BBQ and Grill had lined up their outside tables and benches where people could sit outside for the lighted floats and cars. That’s where I watched the parade.

I missed the first couple of vehicles, sirens blazing, but here’s a look at most of the rest of the parade, all lit up. And I will have to say it was darker than the first pictures show. The camera made allowances for the dark.

It was cold, but a nice, bright parade!  How nice that the entrants went to the trouble to light up the crowd’s Christmas. After the parade, it was time to walk over to the senior center where something called a Hallmark Christmas was about to take place.

Read about that in the next installment.
